Most people who call us have never had a roof evaluated before. They are not sure what we will do on the property, how long it takes, or whether booking one quietly commits them to something.
It does not. Here is the whole process, start to finish.
Before the visit: booking
You can book by calling (423) 407-7947 or through the contact page. Evaluations run Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and they are booked at least a day ahead so the visit can be planned properly.
When you book, we ask a few simple questions. Where the property is. Whether the roof is asphalt shingle. Roughly how old it is. Whether you are seeing granule loss, fading or curling at the edges, and whether there are any leaks, missing shingles or sagging.
Those questions are not a sales script. They save you a wasted visit. If you tell us the roof is leaking into a bedroom, the right next step is a roofing contractor, and we will say so on the phone instead of driving out.
Tim Burnette, the owner, confirms every appointment himself before it is final. You will not get a stranger at the door.
On the property: what we look at
The evaluation is a careful look at the roof and a conversation with you. We are trying to answer one question: is this an aging asphalt shingle roof that is still sound, or is it something else?
We look at the shingles slope by slope, because the south and west faces in Southeast Tennessee usually age years ahead of the north side. We look for the signs that point toward a candidate roof:
- Granule loss, on the shingles themselves and collected in the gutters.
- Fading, where the color has gone flat and uneven.
- Brittleness, shingles that have lost their flexibility.
- Minor edge curling, the early lift at shingle edges.
And we look for the conditions that rule treatment out:
- Widespread leaks.
- Missing or broken shingles.
- Deteriorated decking underneath.
- Sagging along the roof line.

We also want to hear what you know. When the roof went on. Whether it has ever leaked and been repaired. How hot the attic runs in summer. That history changes what the shingles are telling us.
The Roof Health Score
The evaluation produces a Roof Health Score for your roof. It is not a formality. The score is what decides two things: whether treatment makes sense at all, and which NuRoof system and warranty would apply if it does.
That is why we never tell anyone over the phone, or on a web page, that their roof qualifies. Only an in person look can decide that, and only the score settles which coverage you would get. You can read how the coverage works by system on our warranty page.
The three answers you can get
Every evaluation ends with one of three answers.
Your roof is a reasonable candidate. The shingles are aging but still sound, and treatment fits. We explain what GoNano Structural Roof Rejuvenation is designed to do, which system the score points to, and what the warranty for that system covers. Your price follows here, based on what your roof actually needs.
Your roof is not a candidate. Leaks, missing shingles, soft decking or sagging mean the roof needs a roofing contractor. We tell you that plainly and explain what we saw. We do not do repair or replacement, so there is nothing for us to sell you in that case.
Your roof is not there yet. Sometimes the shingles are simply too young to need anything. The honest answer is to check back in a few years, and we would rather say that than treat a roof that does not need it.
None of those answers costs you anything, and none of them obligates you to anything.
Why we evaluate first
Treatment protects a working roof. It does not rescue a failed one. A company that finds every roof to be a perfect candidate is not evaluating anything.
Starting with a free evaluation keeps that honest. It also means the conversation about price happens with real information, after we have seen your roof, instead of a guess over the phone.
Ready to find out where your roof stands?
If your shingles are fading, shedding granules or turning brittle, an evaluation tells you whether treatment fits before you start pricing a replacement. Book a free roof evaluation or call (423) 407-7947. If you want to check a few things yourself first, our honest qualification checklist is a good place to start.
