When you treat a roof instead of replacing it, the natural question is what stands behind the work. The answer is a written warranty, and it is worth understanding before you decide anything.
Here is how it works, in plain terms.
Who issues it
Every treatment carries a written warranty issued by GoNano, the manufacturer. It is a document, not a handshake, and it comes from the company behind the technology rather than from us alone.
Superior Roof Coatings is a Certified GoNano Contractor based in Cleveland, Tennessee. Our part is evaluating your roof properly, applying the right system, and making sure you know how to register your coverage.
How long coverage runs, by system
Coverage runs from 3 to 20 years. Two things decide where your roof lands in that range: the NuRoof system applied, and your roof’s Roof Health Score, which comes out of the free roof evaluation.
| NuRoof system | Coverage |
|---|---|
| Boost | 5 years, or 3 as a bridge treatment |
| Revive | 7 or 10 years |
| Boost plus Fortify | 10 years |
| Revive plus Fortify | 12 years |
| Fortify | 12 or 15 years |
| Fortify Elite | 15 years, or 20 plus 5 years of hail cover at the Good tier |
Where a system shows two numbers, the Roof Health Score decides which one applies. That is why nobody can tell you your coverage before the evaluation. Until the roof has been scored and a system chosen, the honest answer is that it depends on both.

What the warranty covers
The warranty covers premature peeling, curling or warping attributable to the treatment, capped at five thousand square feet of treated area.
Read that carefully, because it is precise on purpose. It is about the treatment doing what it should on the shingles it was applied to. It is not a promise that a roof will never need a roofer, and it does not turn an old roof into a new one.
If something goes wrong
The remedy works in three steps, in order:
- Free inspection. The first step is a look at what happened and why.
- Free re-treatment. If the treatment is at fault, the roof is treated again at no charge.
- Prorated shingle material allowance. If re-treatment is not the answer, a prorated allowance toward shingle material applies.
Registration: the step you cannot skip
The warranty must be registered within 30 days of treatment. If it is not registered in that window, the coverage voids.
This is the single most important practical detail on this page. Put a reminder on your calendar the day the work is done. We will walk you through it, but the deadline is real.
Selling the house
The warranty transfers once to a new owner. If you sell within the coverage period, the protection can go with the house, which is worth mentioning to buyers.
Warranty years are not added roof life
This is the point people most often mix up, so it is worth saying clearly.
The years in the table above are how long the coverage runs. Separately, GoNano publishes claims about how much life its technology can add to a roof. Those are GoNano’s claims about the product, not a guarantee from Superior Roof Coatings, and they are a different number measuring a different thing.

The short version
A treated roof comes with a written GoNano warranty of 3 to 20 years, set by the system and the score. It covers premature peeling, curling or warping caused by the treatment. You register it within 30 days, and it can transfer once.
